Working with the speaking and singing voice, and the role it can play in personal transformation is my life's work and my passion.
I have over thirty years experience working and training with many leading practitioners within the psycho therapeutic field, including:
Herta Larive - Spiritual Psychology
Ian Gordon-Brown and Barbara Summers - Trans personal Psychology.
Yahuda Tagor - .Psychophonetics.
Dr. Ari Badaines - Psycho drama and Gestalt technique
I am also a graduate of The Hoffman Quadrinity Process.
A life changing experience happened when I met Frankie Armstrong. A folk singer and " The godmother of the Natural Voice Singing Movement" while on a singing workshop with her in Spain.
It really was a "eureka" moment and it was from this time that I decided to concentrate on the VOICE, focusing in particular on its role in self-expression and the body/voice connection.
I completed the original Naked Voice Facilitator Training with Chloe Goodchild 1995/96 and studied classical vocal technique with Orfeas John Munsey at The Aegean Centre for The Fine Arts in Greece. I also became involved in the '60s avant-garde theatre techniques of Roy Hart through working with several of its members. It's through this work I discovered my passion for what Alfred Wolfsohn calls the "unchained human voice".
After moving to Bristol in the mid 90s, I establish my studio 'Voice Works at Jackson's Yard' and also ran one of the first community choirs in the city.
I held ongoing voice workshops at the University of Bristol's Wickham Theatre as part of their Department of Drama's Lifelong Learning Programme. I also contributed to a BBC documentary exploring the benefits of singing for health.
I have experience in using therapeutic voice & sound work in drug rehabilitation and within the Hospice Movement.
"Felicity creates a beautiful atmosphere, always, of trust, risk-taking, humour and warmth and I love the way she works...she gives so much in skill, sensitivity and depth and it is most precious for me."
